Amanda is the co-founder of Sacred Wayfinding with her partner, Steph. As a lifelong wanderer, who has been led by spirit and guided by intuition all over the world, Amanda has received formal and informal education and training in many areas, but her most transformative experiences have come from her annual wilderness fasting practice. Being in the natural world and being led by spirit has been her greatest teacher.
Amanda's journey began in 2001 with a year in South India, immersing herself in yoga, pranayama, reiki, and meditation. Her quest for knowledge and growth led her across Latin America (2002-2003), where she studied traditional healing practices with curanderos in Costa Rica, explored Qi Gong and martial arts, and delved into the world of land-based healing at an Amazonian addiction treatment center in Peru called Takiwasi.
With a B.A. in Health, Education & Spirituality from Long Island University's Global College (2003), Amanda continued her education with intensive yoga teacher training and studies in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her academic path led to a Master's degree in Contemplative Psychotherapy (2008) from Naropa University, blending Eastern wisdom with Western psychological approaches. She finished her academic studies with a Doctorate of Psychology from University of Arizona (2019).
As an author, consultant and facilitator in power-and-equity consciousness and conflict resolution, Amanda brings a unique perspective to Sacred Wayfinding. Her core values of curiosity, courage, and connection drive her to create innovative learning experiences and opportunities for being in right-relationship.
Amanda and Steph have a blended family with three kids who they raise together in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. When Amanda is not spending time with the family, she enjoys her sacred alone time reading, walking in the woods or along the creek, or crafting.
Sacred Wayfinding embodies Amanda's lifelong commitment to courageously serve others by promoting cultural shifts towards greater awareness, spiritual connection, and personal empowerment. Through this practice, she invites clients to embark on their own sacred journey of self-discovery and transformation.
